BUSINESS COMMUNITY URGED TO SUPPORT SPORTS ACTIVITIES

Thaba Tseka, Apr. 05 — The District Commanding Officer says crime rate could be reduced if the business community could play a role in sponsoring sports activities in the district.

This was stated in an interview with the Superintendent Karabo Morapeli on Friday who indicated that they had a very peaceful Easter holiday, for the whole long weekend the district hosted soccer games.

He said that helped keep youngsters off the streets hence there were no crime cases reported during that time.

He, furthermore, stated that if the youth is engaged in sports activities crime such as sexual offences or fighting are avoided.
