Maseru, May 16 — Learning starts with reading for a student to be developed academically and otherwise, Founder and Principal at Mamello School and Special Needs Centre has said.
Ms. Mamello Nkuoatsana said this in an interview with the Agency ahead of the school’s participation and showcasing reading skills during literacy week commencing next week Monday.
She explained that as a special education teacher, she has established that reading plays a vital role if students are to be cultured well academically and otherwise noting with constant guidance, students will get there.
She said students from reception classes and all levels will participate, adding some of their students are unable to read due to the nature of their disabilities, saying while others will be reading others will also be trained on a number of strategies that can help them to be self-sufficient.
