Qacha’s Nek, June.27 — Following the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition (MAFSN) nutrition education, Chief Makoko Makoae of Patlong, Ha Sekake has actively been encouraging villagers to practice good nutrition through keyhole gardening and birds rearing.
The Agency has learnt during a follow up tour with MAFSN officials that since April 2023, Chief Makoko has been involved in nutrition advocacy as he wants villagers who are well-informed and knowledgeable for them to make informed decisions and end malnutrition.
In an interview with the Agency, he said prior to the training, community leaders including himself and the public were clueless about proper nutrition.
He said through the “informative and eye-opening training, I saw it befitting to join hands with MAFSN to save my people.” . . .
