Quthing, June 20 — Members of Basing village disaster management team (VDMT) developed a community based disaster preparedness plan (CBPP), following their five-day training on disaster risk reduction (DRR) held at Qomoqomong community Council premises until Friday this week.
The training organized by District Disaster Management Office in collaboration with Lesotho Red Cross Society (LRCS) Quthing Branch, was aimed at capacitating participants with DRR skills to build disaster resilient community.
The training amongst others covered Disaster Management Act, understanding disaster risk, DRR skills, vulnerability, emergency and CBPP.
