BOKAMOSO BA BANA CLOSURE TO HALT PROMOTION OF LITERACY

Thaba Tseka June 20 – The closure of the Bokamoso ba Bana Project brings to a halt many activities that were planned to promote literacy in the communities and schools.

This was stated by Mrs. Masekhoane Khatleli, the District Coordinator of the CRS Bokamoso Ba Bana project, who indicated that their activities included producing books and supplementary reading materials, which have already been printed during the Heads of Department meeting in her closing-out presentation.

She mentioned that they were also planning to establish community libraries to promote literacy, noting that the community was expected to provide houses that would be renovated by CRS.

She stated that they stopped procuring everything after the announcement made on May 21 regarding their closure at the end of June. . . .
