CHINA, LESOTHO CONTINUES TO STRENGTHEN RELATIONS

Maseru, Sept. 29 — The presence of the People’s Republic of China Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress Mr. Zheng Jianbang in Lesotho, strengthens further the existing relations between the two countries.

This was said by the Speaker of the National Assembly Mr.Tlohang Sekhamane in an interview with the Agency during the working visit of Mr. Jianbang, who arrived in Lesotho on Monday morning.

Mr. Sekhamane indicated that amongst other issues he discussed with Mr. Jianbang include the need to unite, support and strengthen further bonds of cooperation in the areas of education and infrastructure especially when both countries share good relations in recent years.

“Chinese Ambassadors to Lesotho are good in diplomacy and Lesotho continues to benefit from the Forum on Africa-China Cooperation,” he added.

He further said amongst other things he had learnt during their discussion is that there is people’s influence in Chinese Parliament and would like to copy that, adding that he asked the Vice Chairman to assist in the use of Artificial Intelligence in Parliament as it saves costs amongst others.

Mr. Jianbang and his delegation also met with the President of the Senate and will leave the country on Tuesday.
