Thaba Tseka, Nov. 19 — The District Disaster Management Team (DDMT) stressed the need to establish effective coordination structures to optimize food systems management.
They also highlighted the importance of ongoing dialogue with stakeholders regarding the food system, ensuring that community-led structures are not overlooked.
They emphasized the importance of empowering all key groups, including women and youth. They stated, “A holistic approach to managing natural resources within the district, considering both the benefits and challenges, is essential to enable a viable food system.”
Talking about resource availability and utilisations, they indicated the need to mobilize resources geared towards food systems, and viability, and be more precise to the needs.
