Maseru, Mar.18—The High Court through Justice Maliepollo Makhetha has on Monday, in a case in which two politicians, former army commander and the army members are among others charged with treason, ordered that Mr. Tanki Mothae be arrested for contempt of court.
This was after Mr. Mothae who was on a stand as a first witness for the prosecution when the matter was adjourned last year, failed to show up in court today to continue with his evidence.
Legal representative for the prosecution in this matter Advocate Motene Rafoneke told the court that information he got is that the witness is out of the country visiting his family. He requested that the matter be postponed to April 22 2024 so that he can secure that witness.
