TNHA CELEBRATES WITH SHEPHERDS

Mokhotlong April 23 — As part of celebrating 200 years of Basotho nation, Thabana Ntlenyana Hiking Adventure (TNHA) presented its flag to shepherds who tend livestock around the Thabana Ntlenyana mountain recently.

The hiking club’s President Mr. Makhabane Ts’ita explained that the club chose to celebrate with the herders because most of the time, they are a forgotten group of the society adding that the intention was to make them feel they are part of celebration as Basotho.

He said they presented the flag which they will keep for 200 days after which it will be collected and handed over to the Principal Chief of Mokhotlong Chief Lerotholi Mathealira Seeiso who is also a member of the TNHA.

Mr. Ts’ita further said the club decided to celebrate the bicentenary with the shepherds as they are taking good care of the environment and always ready to assist hikers every time they visit and climb the Thabana Ntlenyana mountain during hiking activities.
