Maseru, Aug. 06 —- The High Court will on Thursday conduct an inspection in loco in a case in which two army members are charged with the murder of Lisebo Tang which occured in 2014 near the home of Retired Army Commander Tlali Kamoli.
The accused in this matter Lance Corporal Tjekane Sebolai and Private Selone Ratsiu are facing charges of murder, attempted murder and malicious damage to property.
It is alleged that they shot and killed Lisebo Tang at Ha Leqele on May 09 2014. It is also alleged that they attempted to kill Tsepo Jane by shooting and injuring him in the same incident. It is further alleged that they also damaged a vehicle belonging to Jane by shooting at it.
The inspection comes following the evidence of one of the defence witnesses Corporal Matsoso who was on duty with the accused when the incident occured. He was initially charged together with the accused but was in 2020 acquitted after the court ruled that he did not have a case to answer as there was no evidence linking him to the offences charged.
