CYBER STABILITY CRUCIAL FOR ECONOMIC GROWTH – MOOROSI

Maseru, Sept 14 — Cyber stability is crucial in today’s Fourth Industrial Revolution for economic development, the Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation (MICSTI) Ms. Nthati Moorosi has said.

Minister Moorosi said this when officially closing the four-day capacity building stakeholders workshop on cyber security held in Maseru on Thursday.  

She said the workshop which brought together stakeholders in Information Communication Technology (ICT) and ICT networks among other things came at the time when the Ministry is preparing to table a cyber security bill upon reopening of Parliament.

Therefore, she highlighted the importance of cyber stability if the country is to develop economically and otherwise.

In addition, she alluded that today, digitalising agriculture, advancement of education are also becoming crucial in this regard.
