DEPORTEES 2024 PRESSING CHALLENGE

Leribe, Jan. 02 — Since the beginning of last year to the end the office of the District Administrator Leribe received deportees from the Republic of South Africa every week.

The District Administrator Leribe, Mr. Letsema Khalanyane earlier in December 2024 when addressing cross border issues, said his office receives at least 100 deportees as the maximum number in a week.

He said this was too much and he had to find the reasons for such a number.

Mr. Khalanyane said most deportees did not have passports hence they were arrested in South Africa and deported.
