Beijing, Sept.11 — Day two of the seminar on young media professionals from African countries held at the Beijing Dahongmen International convention and exhibition centre focused more on the importance of digital broadcasting.
The facilitator Jenny Geddes said that digital broadcasting refers to the encoding, modulation and transmission of digital radio signals and video signals using ground transmissions.
She said that digital broadcasting is important saying that among its advantages is the high resistance to external interference.
She said that it is not affected by radio transmission fading saying that its fast moving reception is not affected as well.
