Maseru, Sep. 11—The Disaster Management Authority (DMA) has revealed that Lesotho is in need of about M2,002,863,799.00 to address immediate humanitarian assistance, resilience building programmes and developmental initiatives based on the declaration that the Prime Minister Mr. Ntsokoane Matekane made in July of the state of emergency on hunger that the country is currently faced with.
This was said by the Chief Executive of the Disaster Management Authority Mr. Reatile Elias in a press conference held at the authority’s head office on Wednesday where the members of the media where put in light of the EL-NIÑO Induced Food Insecurity Response Plan and Appeal Statement 2024 which its overall objective is to mount a timely, consistent, effective and coordinated response to save lives, property and livelihoods for the affected communities…
