Maseru, Mar.26 — In an effort to fight against misconceptions surrounding epilepsy, Ms. Serialong Mokitimi stated that epilepsy is not a mental disease but a mental disorder at the ceremony held at Mohlomi Hospital on Tuesday.
Speaking on behalf of Mohlomi Hospital Management (MHM), Ms. Mokitimi stated that epilepsy is not a personality disease but a mental condition that can be faced by anyone at any time no matter the age group.
She further stated that epilepsy is real and it is increasing rapidly as it is caused by different factors indicating that people who are faced with this sickness are ill-treated and called cruel names by other people and this must come to an end because these victims are under a disorder not a mental problem and they feel unwanted. . .
