Maseru, Aug.08— The defence in a case in which four police officers are charged with the murder of their colleague, Police Constable Mokalekale Khetheng, has on Friday failed to present their case as the prosecution has failed to provide them with occurrence books.
Advocate Karabo Mohau, one of the defence lawyers, told the court that they requested the documents a long time ago, but they were served with irrelevant ones. He pointed out that the documents will enable them to determine how to proceed. He emphasised that their aim is to conduct a meaningful defence.
The case was postponed to October 13, 2025, for continuation.
The accused have been called to enter their defence after their application for discharge was dismissed…SM/BM
