FIRST SESSION OF APPEAL COURT TAKES OFF

Maseru, Apr. 11 — This year’s first session of the Court of Appeal on Tuesday commenced as scheduled.

The business of the day started with the holding of a roll call which was led by one of the judges of the Court of Appeal Justice Petrus Damaseb. Legal practitioners involved in the cases to be heard during the session were also present to confirm the status of their cases.

It was revealed during the roll call that some cases are ready for hearing while others are not. Some of the reasons advanced for unpreparedness of some of the cases was that record of court proceedings is not available.
