Maseru, Jul. 11—In his welcoming speech of the new Chinese Ambassador, King Letsie III said His
Excellency Yang Xiaokun’s accreditation to Lesotho is indicative of the Government of China’s desire
and commitment to maintain and nurture the excellent relations and cooperation which exists
between the two countries.
His Majesty said the long standing historical friendship is rooted in mutual respect and common
values, noting that Lesotho is rededicating itself to this relationship which is based on strong
solidarity and shared aspirations for peace, stability and development in both countries.
