LESOTHO PARTICIPATES IN NON-ALIGNMENT MOVEMENT MEETING

Maseru, Jan. 19 — The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, Mr. Lejone Mpotjoana led the Lesotho delegation to the 19th Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) which is currently ongoing in Kampala.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations Public Relations office, the main purpose of the meeting is to promote cooperation and negotiating capacity of its members on issues discussed at multilateral fora.

This Meeting is also considered as the outcome document prepared by the senior officials in their meeting held in January, 15-16th 2024 which contains recommendations on several issues including the SDGs, Reform of the international financial institutions, climate change and the ongoing geo global conflicts such as the one in Palestine.
