LAA HANDS OVER DONATIONS TO ST. PETER’S PRIMARY SCHOOL

Mokhotlong, Sept.03 — Land Administration Authority (LAA) planted peach trees donated school shoes and sanitary towels to needy learners at St. Peter’s Primary School in Mokhotlong on Wednesday.

Wednesday’s event was officiated by the Authority’s Director General Mrs. ‘Malichaba Lekhoaba who handed over the gifts to the school and beneficiaries.

Speaking at the event, Mrs. Lekhoaba said that LAA organised the event as a way of giving back to the community through its Corporate Responsibility and Investment initiative.

She urged the school to protect the trees so that learners can have fruits to eat when at school.

She also said the tree planting activity was intended to prevent soil erosion and promote land conservation for proper land administration and management.

Mrs. Lekhoaba encouraged each learner to request their parents to buy them at least one fruit tree and plant them at their homes in order to have fruits even at their respective homes. . . .
