LEGISLATION COMMITTEE PRESENTS REPORT

MASERU — Senate Legislation Committee presented report on the 10th Amendment to the Constitution Bill, 2024 in the House on Tuesday.

This by Senator Seabata Motsamai on behalf of Committee Members.

Amongst others, he reminded members the importance of the Bill in bringing everlasting peace  in line with reforms to achieve the ‘Lesotho All Want’.

He alluded that the report is a result  of meeting various stakeholders, adding it’s objects and scope are meant also to fullfill Standing Order 90.

According to Senator Motsamai, a number of issues were covered and proposals submitted during  consultations. “For instance security agencies are to be apolitical while their work should complement one another,” he stressed. . . .
