LEGISLATORS UNFASTEN THEIR TIES TO GET TO WORK

Maseru, March 19 – The Members of Parliament (MPs) have resolved to unfasten their ties in order to get to work due to the load of work lying ahead of them in the National Assembly.

This was after the Members resolved to move the motion of dress code without Notice under Standing Order No. 32 (3)).

It was moved by Member of Parliament representing Movement for Economic Change (MEC) on Proportional Representation (PR) Mr. Napo Moshoeshoe who was seconded by the Malibamat’so legislator Mr. Mokoto Hloaele.

They urged the House to resolve to change the dress code from formal attire to smart casual attire from Tuesday, to Monday March 25th this year, during the consideration of Compact II Bills and 2024/25 Annual Estimates to enable Members to function effectively until 10:30 p.m.
