Maseru, Oct. 21 — Former Director General National Security Services (NSS) Colonel Tumo Lekhooa (57) who is charged with the murder of Maaparankoe Mahao, will have to wait a little longer for the outcome of his bail application.
A ruling on his application which was scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday was postponed to a date later this week or early next week, but yet to be confirmed.
In his evidence during an inquiry conducted by the court, the petitioner testified that he left the country because the then Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Motsoahae Thabane and army commander, the late Lieutenant General Khoantle Motsomotso were hostile towards him.
“I left the country because of cumulative and mutually reinforcing insurmountable hostilities and death threats directed to me,” he told the court.
