LESOTHO, BOTSWANA, MALAWI ENHANCE TIES

Maseru, Nov. 09 — Relations between Lesotho, Botswana and Malawi were further strengthened during presentation credentials at the Royal Palace, Maseru on Thursday.

Accepting the letters, the King said the presence of the High Commissioner of Botswana to Lesotho in Maseru, Mrs. Mmasenono Monageng is a good sign that Botswana is more than willing to enhance the already existing ties between the two countries born as a result of education issues among others.

He expressed hope that during her tenure, she will work hard to resuscitate the joint commission signed 20 years ago so as to promote issues of economy, culture, water resources and education which has been the centre of cooperation.

He further highlighted the need to also share expertise and knowledge in as far as climate change is concerned for water conservation.
