LESOTHO CEMENTS DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS WITH INDIA

Maseru, July 22 — The visit of India’s Minister of State for External Affairs, Mr. Shri Pabitra Margherita and his entourage to Lesotho, will go a long way in strengthening further the existing relations between the two countries.

This was said by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, Mr. Lejone Mpotjoane in an interview after Mr. Pabitra Margherita paid a courtesy call on both King Letsie III and Prime Minister Ntsokoane Matekane in Maseru on Tuesday.

Mr. Mpotjoane said the visit will strengthen further bonds of cooperation between the two countries in the areas of Information Technology, Energy and Agriculture.

He highlighted that the country briefed the Minister on its intention to strengthen agriculture through establishment of market application centres as well as electricity generation through water and solar, saying the Minister pledged support on these initiatives.
