SHELILE COMMENDS PROGRESS OF YOUTH OWNED BUSINESSES UNDER CAFI SUPPORT

Maseru, Sept.12 – The Minister of Trade, Industry and Business Development, Mr. Mokhethi Shelile, conducted a site visit to six Basotho youth-owned businesses supported by the Competitiveness and Financial Inclusion (CAFI) project.

Mr. Shelile said his ministry is mandated to drive youth entrepreneurship and create job opportunities, expressing satisfaction with the growth and achievements of the businesses.

He noted that continued government support would not only boost youth enterprises but also contribute significantly to job creation and economic growth.

The Minister further encouraged the young entrepreneurs to actively seek guidance from relevant departments, highlighting that access to expert advice and skills development is key to ensuring sustainable business growth.

Speaking on behalf of the youth entrepreneurs, Ms. ’Malerotholi ’Maseribane acknowledged the challenges they face, particularly limited equipment and capacity to meet market demands. . .
