Maseru, Nov. 25 — The Ministry of Health held the Lesotho Demographic and Health Survey 2023-2024 workshop that revealed the key findings on Water, Sanitation and Health.
The Lesotho Demographic and Health Survey (LDHS) 2023-2024 has been designed to provide detailed estimates of demographic and health indicators across national, urban, and rural areas.
The survey reveals significant findings on access to clean water, fertility rates, family planning and maternal health.
Speaking on behalf of the Chief Environmental Health Officer for Water, Sanitation and Health, Mr. Pheello Phera highlighted that 82 percent of Lesotho’s population now has access to clean drinking water, with 65 percent reporting sufficient availability of drinking water.
