The evaluation aimed to assess Lesotho’s capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to public health threats.

Deputy Principal Secretary Ministry of Health , Mrs. Mats’oanelo Monyobi emphasized that the exercise was valuable in identifying gaps within the country’s health system. She noted that the process provided an overview of Lesotho’s health security status and helped justify the country’s scores.

She commended participants for their  engagement and thanked the organizers for their efforts in making the JEE a success, adding that together they can build “a healthier and better Lesotho for generations to come.”
