LRCS PLANTS FRUIT TREES IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS

Mokhotlong Nov.29 — In an effort to improve food security and nutrition in schools, Lesotho Red Cross Society (LRCS) Branch in Mokhotlong distributed and planted some fruit trees at two Primary Schools in the district this week.

The schools that received the fruit trees are St. Peter’s and Mokhotlong LEC primary while the trees included those of apples and grapes.

The LRCS Divisional Secretary Ms. Tlaleng Maimane said planting of fruit trees is intended to promote good nutrition in schools, combat climate crisis as well as to contribute towards environmental sustainability…
