Maseru, Jan. 16 — The Minister of Labour and Employment Mr. Tséliso Mokhosi has revealed that the country is ready to start with the exportation of labour to other countries as to help curb the rate of unemployment that Lesotho is faced with.
Speaking in an interview with the Agency on Thursday, Mr. Mpkhosi stated that the government has had deliberation with a number of countries such as Mauritius and Seychelles which he indicated that agreements are yet to be reached on when Basotho can start applying for jobs in such countries.
He indicated that one province in Canada has already issued job opportunities in the nursing department which he stated that Basotho can already start applying for through a link which he said will be posted on the ministry’s website.
He further mentioned that agreements are also yet to be reached between Lesotho and the government of Germany which he said is one of the countries which is willing to open doors and employ Basotho citizens.
