Maseru, April.04 — The Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC) will host a Business Engagement this year under the Development Finance Institution 2023 Easter Games themed “Stronger Together.”
According to Corporate Communication Manager of LNDC Ms. Tiisetso Moremoholo, the theme has been inspired by the benefits of regional economic integration such as lower transaction costs for businesses, lower risks associated with investments, expansion of markets, pooling of regional resources, better utilisation of economies of scale in
production, and more efficient allocation of resources.
She indicated that the topic of discussion will be “The role of Direct Foreign Investment in sustainable development financing in SADC – Lessons from member DFIs.”
Ms Moremoholo further stated this event is also aimed at educating and communicating information on the role of development finance for the benefit of the private and public sector as LNDC works towards its mandate in supporting the extended NSDP II which seeks to boost a private sector led economy.
Participants of the aforementioned event are expected to be from Lesotho, Eswatini and Botswana.
