LOCUST INVASION CONTROLLED

Thaba-Tseka, Jan 3 — The District Agricultural Officer (DAO) says the locust invasion is being controlled by the usage of pesticides.

This, Mrs. Makhala Phalatsi stated in an interview with the Agency on Friday indicating that farmers reported they have been using pesticides every morning for control.

She said they have also highlighted that the number of locusts seem to have decreased as they are no longer seen in large numbers like last week.

She, therefore, said they have delayed fumigation in the open space that is near by the river valley.
