Botha-Bothe, Sept. 29 — Tourism experts emphasize that keeping attraction sites clean is not only about appearance but also about protecting the environment and sustaining local communities. This message was brought to life when the ‘Moteng community joined hands with Botha-Bothe district officials to clean the popular ‘Moteng Viewpoint.
Chief of ‘Moteng, Sakia Lepolesa, praised the initiative, describing it as an important step towards preserving the environment. He called on authorities to install rubbish bins at the Viewpoint to encourage visitors to dispose of litter responsibly.
“There are also street vendors at this site, and I believe it is important for the ministry to build proper stalls for them so that they can shelter during rainy days. It would also help if at least one person could be hired to guard the place, ensuring that tourists always do the right thing,” Chief Lepolesa said…
