Leribe, Aug. 13 — With the purpose of commemorating Women’s month, about 50 women of “Mate gathered at the same area on Saturday in Leribe for a massive celebration.
In an interview with the agency, the community councillor of ‘Mate Mrs. ‘Mathapelo Letho said women are supposed to know their worth in the community hence the event.
Mrs. Letho said celebrating this month is critical in changing women positively and giving them courage in different aspects of life.
She said women are challenged and influenced by numerous issues, citing from raising children to being a wife responsible for taking care of the whole family.
She explained that the commemoration is the right time to remind women of their importance in developing communities.
Motivational speaker at the event Mr. Refiloe Makhobotloane said women should avoid conflicts, adding that the conflicts they experience in communities should be constructive thus bringing motivation to them. . .
