CHILD PROTECTION MEASURES TAKEN TO GREATER HEIGHTS

Maseru, April 07-The protection and advocacy for children welfare and rights remains a top priority that the African continent needs to shift is attention on to ensure for the best development an African child.

This emerged at the 5 day opening session of the 45th ordinary session of the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACERWC) which started in Maseru on Monday.While officially opening this session, the Deputy Prime Minister Justice Nthomeng Majara said  for Lesotho, the Ministerial Conference came at the right time when the country  is overwhelmed with this alarming rise in reported cases of various forms of violence against children…
