MEDIA AWAKENED ON LGBTI REPORTING

Maseru, Dec.15 — As the country continues to recover from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, health and economic crises, the complexity of experiences and attitudes that the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersexual and Queer (LGBTIQ) community remains under examined.

This emerged at the one-day workshop for media practitioners which was facilitated by The People’s Matrix Association in Maseru on Friday.

Speaking at this event, the Executive Director of the association Tampose Mothopeng said that the purpose of the workshop is to capacitate media practitioners to use the appropriate language and fact based information when reporting issues surrounding the LGBTIQ communicatees. . .
