Mohale’s Hoek, Aug.20 — The Minister of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition Mr, Thabo Mofosi has on Tuesday applauded Majantja farmers for the highest yield of tomatoes in the country.
Mr. Mofosi, who articulated that it is not easy to produce tomatoes during the winter season, stated this at an Agriculture and Food Month celebration held at the Pitso House, where farmers displayed their produce and handicrafts.
He further indicated that as Lesotho celebrates 200 years as a nation, Basotho need to go back to their roots and start farming, noting the Ministry would be visiting districts holding gatherings on how farmers could be assisted in investing all the efforts in farming, with the help of partners like SADP, WFP and World Vision Lesotho. . .
