Maseru, May. 29 — In a significant move to address public concerns, the Minister of Trade, Industry, Business Development, and Tourism, Mr. Mokhethi Shelile, announced today that the ministry is formulating a strategy to segregate large-scale foreign-owned businesses from smaller local enterprises.
This initiative aims to alleviate competition pressures faced by local street vendors.
Speaking in the Senate, Mr. Shelile acknowledged the increasing complaints from street vendors saying vendors have voiced concerns over competing with foreign-owned shops selling small items such as sweets, apples, and oranges. . .
