MINISTER REFUTES SOCIAL MEDIA ALLEGATIONS

Maseru, Aug. 12– The Minister of Information, Communications, Science,  Technology and Innovation Ms. Nthati Moorosi has refuted allegations that the government is involved in some illegal activities. 

The Minister said this in an official speech on Friday night saying the government’s duties is to protect its people and not the other way round.

Ms. Moorosi said the allegations that the government is having talks and or negotiations with some Members of the Government (MP’s) to kill others is not true.

She said this are huge allegations made towards the current government to destroy it, and to tarnish its image.

She stated that among the responsibilities of the government, protecting its people is their number one priority, including protection of their human rights.

The Minister have appealed to all those who are disseminating false information and accusations to stop immediately.

She said the matter is being is being dealt with and all will be brought to the books of law.

Ms. Moorosi also made a plea to the public not to trust every information communicated via social media as some is meant to destroy good things.
