Leribe, Aug.11 — Ministry of Health Senior Nutritionist Officer Mrs. ‘Mafumane Makhetha says breastfeeding is best for children to attain best development.
Mrs. Makhetha revealed that when sensitizing the members of District Child and Protection Team (DCPT) at Hlotse in Leribe on Friday.
She highlighted that families should be at par with Infant and Young Child Feeding Policy (August 2010) which is beneficial in making a well nutritional nation.
She said guiding principle three of the policy states that considering that the government of Lesotho has endorsed the international code of Marketing of Breast milk substitutes it is therefore crucial that the national code is legislated and enforced.
