MINISTER URGES MPS TO ATTEND LIOLI, MATLAMA GAME

Maseru, May 17 — Minister of Tourism, Sports, Arts and Culture Mr. Motlatsi Maqelepo has urged Members of Parliament (MPs) to attend the last Vodacom Premier League game between Lioli and Matlama to be played at Teyateyaneng on Saturday.

He told the MPs in the National Assembly on Friday that this crunch match between two most supported teams in the country is going to be a decisive match since the winner between two will be crowned new league champions for the 2024/25 soccer season.

The Minister said it was high time that the Members rally behind the domestic league to show unwavering support in the game which attracts huge following in the country.

He said Vodacom Lesotho is the major sponsor of the domestic league to the tune of three Million Maloti, saying the league champions stand to walk away with a total of M650 000 as the first prize money.
