Maseru, May.30 — The Ministry of Education and Training with the support of UNICEF Lesotho has officially launched the Global very Partnership for Education (GPE) Multiplier grant programme in Maseru on Thursday.
In his remarks during this launch, the Minister of Education and Training Professor Ntoi Rapapa reiterated that the Global Partnership for Education has allocated a grant worth M446, 428 800.00 million (US2.4) to the government of Lesotho through the ministry as a testament of collective commitment to transforming the education landscape of Lesotho.
He said that the GPE fund required the government of Lesotho to identify an external organisation or funder to partner with and in this endeavour, UNICEF was an enabler to get the Roger Federer Foundation to step forward and play the crucial role of unlocking the GPE fund enabling the ministry to harness it’s full potential for the benefit of the Basotho children. . .
