MINISTRY OF HEALTH COMMEMORATES NATIONAL PATIENT CEREMONY 

Maseru, Sept, 17 — The Ministry of Health commemorated the National Patient Safety Day on Tuesday in Maseru.

When opening the event, Dr. Moseme Makhele, Health Management Team’s Manager stated that according to the virtual militia that was published on September 11 2023, it defines patient safety as an absence of preventable harm to a patient and reduction of unnecessary harm associated with health care to an acceptable minimum.

“This definition says a lot because according to the same worksheet, it says one (1) in ten (10) patients die due to unsafe care,” said Dr. Makhele. . .
