Quthing, Feb. 18 — A long time plight of residents from Ha Mokameleli to get connected to the power grid will be a story of the past after completion of ongoing Mokhameleli Electrification project in Qomoqomong area by the end of this month.
The project implemented by a private construction company engaged by Lesotho Electricity Company (LEC) will benefit residents from three villages of Ha Bulara, Ha Mokhameleli and Ha Elia.
In an interview, the Community Councilor for Ha Elia, Mr. Thabang Matsoso said the project will benefit 460 households, a local primary school, and churches, adding that it has provided temporary employment to 20 labourers from respective villages since it started in November last year.
He stated that Ha Mokhameleli and Ha Bulara villages are in Quthing Urban Council while Ha Elia is in Qomoqomong Community Council.
