NETWORK COMPANY TO WALK AGAINST GBV

Maseru, Sept. 10 — In efforts to find ways of mitigation to the ongoing increasing rates of Gender Based Violence (GBV) that the country is faced with, Vodacom Lesotho will hold a solidarity and candle lighting ceremony in Maseru on Wednesday.

Speaking in an interview with the Agency on Tuesday, the Public Relations and Corporate Communication Manager Mr. Lebohang Chefa said that the aim of the ceremony is to show support of the victims of gender based violence as well to their families.

He indicated that with this event they also aim to inspire such victims to find inspiration to find courage to speak out and against this scourge.

He added that through this event, they seek to challenge and transform the cultural norms and practices that enable and perpetuate gender based violence also looking into contributing to a safer and more inclusive society for all.
