NO MAINTENANCE BUDGET FOR DAMAGED ROADS – MINISTER LEBONA

Maseru, Sept. 18 — The Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Police, and Home Affairs, Mr. Lebona Lephema, has revealed that the ministry currently does not have a budget for road maintenance to repair damaged roads.

This statement he made in the House of the Senate in response to a question posed by Senator Seeiso Nkuebe, Principal Chief of Quthing, who raised concerns about the deteriorating feeder roads from Ha Moqalo in Mount Moorosi to Ha Makoae Health Centre, noting that they are beyond repair.

Similarly, Senator Khoabane Theko, Principal Chief of Thaba-Bosiu, questioned the state of the road from Ha Seeiso in Metolong (Thaba-Bosiu Ward) through Ha Masakale village up to Sefikeng.  . .
