Maseru, May 27—A recently retired Brigadier Ntlele Ntoi has on Monday taken a stand as a third witness in an ongoing treason trial.
He testified that in January 2014 while on an official trip in Addis Ababa Ethiopia, with the then Army Commander Lieutenant General Tlali Kamoli and some delegates from Lesotho he got a call from the army’s public relations office. He stated that they told him that a radio presenter from Moafrika FM wanted to talk to him about information that Kamoli was going to be removed as the Army Commander.
The witness told the court that he approached Kamoli with the information and he told him that he was not aware of it adding that if it was true, he would have known. He said Kamoli gave him permission to talk to the radio presenter who asked him if it was true the government was planning to dismiss Kamoli.
