Mohale’s Hoek, Sept. 13 — The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning has on Wednesday held a presentation for the Procurement Officers and Accountants, regarding the newly enacted Public Procurement Act 2023.
According to Mr. Likotsi an officer from the Ministry, The Procurement Policy and Advisory Division, (PPAD) which has for quite a long time been operating as an advisory body to the Procurement Unit, has been superseded by Lesotho Public Procurement Authority, (LPPA).
Mr. Leseli highlighted that LPPA has been reinforced with bounteous legal powers, as there are laws within the Act which provide for penalties for non-compliance with established rules and procedures.
