PM ENGAGES CIVIL SOCIETY TO STRENGTHEN GOVERNANCE, SERVICE DELIVERY

Maseru, Oct. 22 — In a move that promotes his government’s commitment to inclusive governance and accountability, Prime Minister (PM) Mr. Ntsokoane Samuel Matekane met with representatives of Civil Society Organisations(CSOs) in Maseru today to discuss strategies for improving service delivery and addressing pressing national challenges.

In his address, the Prime Minister highlighted the vital role civil society plays in bridging the gap between government and communities. “It is only right that we meet with civil society to understand their role in governance,” he said.

“When I took office, I promised to work hand in hand with everyone to make Lesotho a better place, that commitment still stands. I continue to invite all Basotho to come forward and help shape solutions that benefit every citizen,” he said.

Mr. Matekane stressed that collaboration, transparency, and dialogue are key pillars of good governance, noting that a united approach can bring lasting progress in tackling issues such as poverty and unemployment.
