RAMAKONGOANA BREAKS NATIONAL AND COURSE RECORDS IN US

Maseru, June 24 — Tebello Ramakongoana (28) who hails from Ha Mohlapiso in Qacha’s Nek has set a new national record for 21.1 kilometre as well as breaking the course record in the U.S on Saturday.

Federation of Athletics Lesotho (FAL) Secretary General Mr. Makara Thibinyane told the Agency on Monday that Ramakongoana has broken his own previous record on 21.1 kilometre which he set in East London of 1:34 but has improved it to 1:17.

He showered Ramakongoana with praises, citing that this is the third record he has set this year alone after setting the new record in South Korea marathon, a 12 kilometre in US and now last Saturday, saying this is unbelievable for the athlete who is gearing up for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. . .
